Ohiko No Mikoto (The Prince Ohiko) was a famous Shogun ruler of Hokuriku and Tohoku regions in Japan. He ruled for many years and his simple message of peace, harmony, and development was embraced by his people. Even now, many shrines dedicated to Ohiko can still be found in Hokuruku and Tohoku alike. The shrines worship development and harmony with nature.
Ohiko No Mikoto Junmai Daiginjo is made with rice only, in the spirit of purity and tradition that the legendary prince was famous for. This special sake was meant to bring happiness and to spread sake culture further around the world. Its rice milling rate if 35%, meaning additional 15% is polished from 50% requirement for Daiginjo.
