
Narutotai "MIZU-TO-KOME" (水ト米) means water & rice, which represents sake brewery's philosophy to deeply appreciate and extract original tastes of water & rice by Junmai sake making. MIZU-TO-KOME got the 2019 Platinum Award (Junmai category) from Paris Kura Master as a result of strict blind tasting. It also got various awards including the 2018 Gold Award from U.S. National Sake Appraisal.
By adjusting the alcohol percentage during the refining process, hard edges have been taken off giving it a light taste. It has rich but gentle flavor with lasting soft acidity because this sake is unprocessed "Junmai Genshu" (純米原酒).
Its smooth, refreshing and fruity taste can be enjoyed by those who are not familiar with sake because it can be matched with gentle taste of Japanese, French or Italian foods as if you feel like drinking a white wine.
